Assault - Otara - South Auckland

Police and Ambulance were called to an address in the Otara suburb of South Auckland where several males were reported to have smashed their way into this address.

At the address, the offenders have assaulted a male occupant before decamping through the rear of the property.

Its believed the offenders were in possession of what appeared to be a sawn off double barrell shot gun. No shots were fired. Its unclear as to whether the shotgun or any other weapon was used in the commission of the assault.

Cordons have been set up in the vicinity of Nola Cres and the nearby streets.

The Armed Offenders Squad has been deployed.
