Ice - Wellington and Hutt Valley

Police are urging commuters to take extreme care when travelling to work this morning due to icy roads.

They are currently attending a number of minor accidents in Wellington and the Hutt Valley and are warning drivers to slow down and increase following distances. Roading contractors are spreading grit on some of the areas but the numbers of places affected means all drivers should exercise the utmost caution.
