The first ENZA Taste and Flavour Luncheon held on Friday 2 July 2010 was deemed a great success.

Hosted at the fabulous show kitchen at NOSH in Mt Eden, the event was attended by food luminaries and leading New Zealand food producers. The Luncheon was a celebration of the best produce and fare New Zealand has to offer, with a tasting menu created by leading chef, Peter Brennan of Porcini’s Restaurant and supported by premium New Zealand food brands, Kapiti Cheese, Waiwera Water and First Light Foods.

ENZA is the world leader in commercialising new apple and pear varieties. The ENZA Taste and Flavour event showcased patented varieties which are taking ENZA's global fruit business into the future. Taylor’s Gold pears, Pacific Rose and JAZZ™ apples have already made their debut and in 2010, ENVY™ is the newest apple to make its mark.

The versatility of this fruit in both fresh and cooked forms was a pleasant surprise to all who attended and gave the participants a newfound appreciation of the sophistication and complex flavours that make modern apples so good to eat and work with in the kitchen.

ENZA will be continuing to market "ENZA Innovative Taste Experiences" across its 65 markets around the world and demonstrating the value of high quality New Zealand apples and pears which are bringing back Taste and Flavour.
