Female lays complaint of assault in Dunedin

DUNEDIN

A 21 year old female student made a complaint to the Dunedin Police this afternoon that she was attacked by four males when walking home in the early hours of Thursday morning the 22nd July 2010.

Circumstances are the female student left the Refuel Bar at approximately 3.35am on Thursday morning. She was walking home by herself.

Whilst walking along Leith Street between Frederick Street and Hanover Street a four door motor vehicle containing four men pulled up alongside her.

She was been grabbed and pulled into the car where she was indecently assaulted.

She managed to escape and made her way home where she raised the alarm with her flatmates.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was out and about in this area at the time the incident occurred.

Police would also like to hear from anyone who lives on Leith Street between Frederick Street and Hanover Street that saw or heard any commotion around this time.
