11-year-old dies in South Canterbury crash

At approximately 7 pm this(Sunday) evening emergency services were called to a 2 vehicle crash at the intersection of SHW8 and Prohibition Road at Cave in South Canterbury.

A 47 year old man was airlifted to Christchurch Hospital with serious leg injuries and an 11 year old girl died as a result of injuries received.

Police are unable to release names at this stage as next of kin have yet to be advised.

No further information will be released tonight.
