Fatal crash - Dargaville

Police and emergency services are presently attending to a two car crash on Baylys Coast Rd in Dargaville.

It appears that one of the vehicles may have veered to avoid a pool of water on the road and has collided with another travelling in the opposite direction.

The female occupant of one vehicle is now deceased. The occupant of the other has suffered moderate injuries.

Diversions are set up at Scottys Camp Rd intersection and Baylys Basin Rd.

All motorists are urged to avoid this area if possible.

There have been many reports of water puddles on the roads in the area and flooding on the far north.

Again, caution is urged for motorists to take extreme care.
