Johns Rd and McLeans Island Rd, Harewood, Christchurch

"Between the evening of Saturday 31st of July and the morning of Sunday 1st of August a substantial vehicle crash occurred near the intersection of Johns Road and McLeans Island Road Harewood.

The vehicle involved left the scene after causing substantial damage to support structures for overhead power lines and surrounding farm fences.

The vehicle is likely to have sustained significant damage to the front and both sides. It is thought to be a Toyota, possibly a four wheel drive.

The driver or any occupants in the vehicle may have incurred injuries as result of the crash.

The Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash or have information that would lead to the identification of the vehicle or driver involved.
