Motorcyclist killed in road crash

A motorcyclist was killed this afternoon (Sunday, 22 August) in a road crash in Stratford.

The crash happened at approximately 12.50pm on Beaconsfield Road, Stratford. The Norton motorcycle was travelling along Beaconsfield Road from Midhurst and a Toyota ute was travelling in the opposite direction and then attempted a right turn into Stanley Road across the path of the motorcyclist.

The 38-year-old male motorcyclist from Midhurst died at the scene after attempts by both Fire and Ambulance staff to administer CPR. The 59-year-old male driver of the ute was unhurt.

The motorcyclist will not be named until his next of kin have been traced and notified.
