20 Month Old Child Found Dead In Queens Gardens, Nelson

Sergeant David LAUER of the Nelson Police states that Zachary Micheal KENNEDY (aged 20 months) died in The Queens Gardens in Nelson today.

Zachary had had been playing in the gardens with family members before becoming separated.

At about 11.30am Police were notified and members of the public found Zachary's body floating in a pond at the gardens a short time later.

Attempts to revive him at the scene were unsuccessful.

There are no suspicious circumstances and the matter has been referred to the Corono
