Fatal crash in Haast

Police, Fire, Ambulance are in attendance at a fatal vehicle crash on State Highway 6, Bruce Bay, Haast.

A van has run off the road into a ditch.

The passenger died at the scene. The driver has been airlifted to Grey Base hospital with serious injuries.

The road is aprtially blocked while the scene is examined. Traffic can still travel through the scene with care and at the direction police.
