Body found in Mount Victoria, Wellington

Wellington Police have launched an investigation in Mount Victoria, following the discovery of a body last night.

Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Thornton of Wellington CIB says a body was found around 6pm last night, in a shed in Home Street.

"The occupants have gone into the shed at the rear of the property and found a body, which is believed to be a male."

Detective Senior Sergeant Thornton says a scene examination has begun this morning and no further details will be released until later this afternoon.
