Domestic incident between Cromwell and Tarras

Police staff from Cromwell, Alexandra, Wanaka and Dunedin AOS attended a Domestic incident at an address on SH8 between Cromwell and Tarras this morning.

The incident occurred at about 1230am during which it is believed a fire arm was discharged. This was resolved at 8.50 am with a male being taken into custody without further incident. One female at the address received minor injuries that were unrelated to the fire arm.

SH8 was closed for a short while the address was contained.

It expected that the male will face charges in relation to the incident.
