Southland roads affected by snow and ice

Overnight snow and ice has settled on Southland Roads.

Rural roads are very slippery and Invercargill roads are treacherous.

People are asked to stay indoors and stay off the roads. There have been a number of cars sliding off the Road in Invercargill resulting minor damage with no injuries.

Police strongly advise people to stay off the Roads.
