Wellington Police are seeking witnesses to a serious injury crash that occurred on Sunday morning, between a cyclist and two pedestrians, which left one unconscious.

Sergeant Mark Moody of the Strategic Traffic Unit says shortly after 11:30am, a 37 year-old woman and her 8 year-old daughter were crossing the road at the traffic light-controlled intersection near Chaffers New World on Cable Street, when they were involved in a collision with a cyclist.

Sergeant Moody says the woman was unconscious at the scene for about ten minutes and was hospitalised as a result.

"Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident on Sunday 19th September. We have spoken to a number of people already, but are keen to hear from anyone else who may have useful information for us."

Anyone with information should phone Police on (04) 381 2000 or phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
