State Highway One closed between SH 27 and SH 29 Tirau.

Due to a fatal crash at about 1245pm on SH 1 Piarere, the highway is closed between SH 27 and SH 29 Tirau.

The crash was between a car and a truck, and person has died at the scene.

Emergency Services are in attendance.

There are two further injured being attended to on site.

Police Serious Crash Unit are investigating.
