Overhanging Branches Due For Attention

Yes the growth season is upon us and it’s that time of the year again.

The time when the council’s general inspectors are out and about checking urban properties for overhanging vegetation.

“Anything that is overhanging property boundaries by over 600m and is lower than 2.5m in height will be due for attention,” general inspector Tracey Boswell advises.

Letters will be sent to relevant property owners requesting that vegetation be cut back, but if no action is taken the council will do so – at the owner’s cost.

Inspections will be districtwide
