Serious road crash on the Tahuna Ohinewai Road.

Morrinsville police are dealing with a serious road crash on the Tahuna Ohinewai Road.

Shortly before 4pm today two large heavy vehicles have collided leaving two persons with serious injuries. The road has been closed and a helicopter along with other emergency services have been sent to the scene.

Diversions are in place. The scene is close to the Tahuna School. The road is closed between Morrinsville Tahuna Rd and Kauri road which is closer to waiti Road.

Motorists are advised to avoid this area or face large delays
