Hitchhiker located through media appeal

Police would like to pass their thanks to the media for assisting with an appeal to locate a hitchhiker as part of an investigation into the fatal road crash in Otaki on Saturday.

As a result of the media coverage a man attended Wellington Central Police Station this morning identifying himself as the hitchhiker and he is now assisting Police as a witness.
