Arrest of Man in Relation to Edgecumbe Home Invasion and Three Kings Assault
Auckland Police this morning arrested and charged a 44yr old man in connection with the unprovoked attack on 78yr old Mr Stanley BELL of Three Kings which occurred on the evening of Sunday September 9, in the Foodtown carpark of Three Kings Plaza.
Police are still seeking the whereabouts of the vehicle stolen in the attack, a Silver Nissan Primera car, registration number, AUR 897, which has yet to be recovered.
The male, who is due to appear at the Auckland District Court later today, also faces a number of other charges, relating to the Home Invasion of a Rural property which occurred at Edgecumbe, in the early hours of Tuesday morning, as well as several charges relating to a series of Street robberies, which occurred in the Auckland Central City area, on Wednesday Evening.
The man, who was arrested after a lengthy vehicle pursuit around Central and South Auckland, also faces a number of Driving offences.
A Holden utility, stolen during the Edgecumbe incident, was recovered at the time of the man's arrest.
Police are still seeking the whereabouts of another male, who is believed to have been involved in the Edgecumbe attack.
