Police seek witnesses to serious wounding incident
Police are seeking witnesses to a serious wounding incident, which occurred in the early hours of Sunday 24th October 2010 on Oriental Parade, Wellington.
Police have arrested and charged a 21 year old with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, indecent assault and theft charges.
Stranz Schaumkel was scheduled to appear in the Lower Hutt District Court today to make a bail application, however this was withdrawn this morning, without explanation. He remains remanded in custody to reappear at a later date.
Detective Sergeant Steven Dunn of Operation PYRITE says there is likely to be witnesses who have information in relation to this person or the incident.
"We are urging those people to phone Police as soon as possible. Any information received can be treated confidentially and witnesses are also able to use the anonymous 0800 Crimestoppers phone line if they prefer."
