Wellington Police seek witnesses to arson

Wellington Police are looking for witnesses to an arson incident in Brooklyn last night.

Shortly before midnight, a car was set alight on Ohiro Road, in a layby near the entrance of Tanera Park Reserve.

Detective Sergeant Penny Gifford of Wellington CIB says the red Subaru Legacy was stolen from a nearby address earlier in the evening and then deliberately set alight.

"Police are looking for anyone who may have been in the area between 11:30pm and midnight last night and may have seen anything suspicious."
