Crash leaves two injured

Police Serious Crash Unit staff are examining the scene of a crash in Anglesea Street, Hamilton after a vehicle crashed into a car showroom.

The car had earlier been involved in a brief police pursuit, abandoned after 15 seconds due to the dangerous speed of the vehicle.

Both occupants of the car were injured, the condition of the driver giving particular concern.

Anglesea Street had been closed to traffic to allow the scene to be examined.
