SH1, Hampton Downs

At midday a truck and trailer left the road on SH1 just south of Hampton Downs Motorsport Park and lost its load of sand.  No one was reported to have been injured in the crash.

The scene is not causing disruption at present however heavy machinery is on its way to recover the load.  This will involve closing at least one lane and delays can be expected.

The cleanup is expected to start at about 2.00pm and will take at least an hour.  Delays can therefore be expected until after 3.00pm and motorists are asked to be patient and factor in the longer travel times into their plans.
