Outdoor Pools Open

The 30-metre Khandallah Summer Pool, nestled in its stunning setting of 24 hectares of native bush, is a great place for families to meet and opens this Saturday 27 November.

There's plenty of terraced seating and shade. There are barbecue facilities available, so it's the perfect spot for a picnic and has been a family favourite since it was built in 1925.

If you'd prefer a heated option, head for Thorndon Summer Pool, built in 1924. This pool opened on Labour Weekend. The six lanes make it a great place for lane swimming before or after work or during a lunch hour, and it also has terraced seating and shade structures for sun-smart relaxation.
