Serious Road Crash on State Highway 2 Mangatawhiri

Police are attending a serious Road Crash on State Highway 2 Mangatawhiri.

Three vehicles were involved one being a truck carrying a load of fertiliser. That truck rolled and the driver has serious injuries.

Fertiliser now needs to be cleared from the road before serious crash investigators can complete their job.

The road is likely to be closed for another 3 hours at least.

 Diversions are in place. Traffic is being diversted south at intersection with SH1, At SH2 traffic is diverted down Okaeria to rejoin SH1.

Police recommended motorists avoid this area, delay their trip or face delays
