Botswana Butchery all set to re-open

Iconic Queenstown restaurant Botswana Butchery is scheduled to re-open its doors in time for locals and visitors to celebrate the festive season.

Following a fire in October, the restaurant is set to open on December 6th to welcome diners to its stunning lakeside setting.

The restaurant’s signature look and style remains largely the same since the full refurbishment but welcomes a stunning new private dining room upstairs with seating for up to ten people and additional banquette seating downstairs.

Delicious delicacies in the form of scallops, escargot, whitebait and crayfish grace the new menu as well as the signature dishes Botswana Butchery is renowned for, such as the fine cuts of steak, duck and pork.

The popular Express Lunch is back, serving a wide range of exciting dishes including Vienna-style schnitzel, tuna niçoise, shredded duck salad and West Coast whitebait.

“The $15 Express Lunch has always been popular as it’s a great way for people to experience Botswana. It will be wonderful to re-open our doors and have that up and running again, especially with all the divine new menu choices,” says Good Group General Manager, Sales & Operations Sarah Stacey.

“The fresh new additions that appear on the menu completely lend themselves to relaxing on our lake front balcony with a glass of something chilled over lunch or dinner ‘til late in the night. The restaurant will also re-open with a revamped wine list.

“We were devastated when we had to close our doors but are thrilled to be open in time for Christmas and New Year celebrations,” says Ms Stacey.

“Botswana Butchery Queenstown is running set menus for both Christmas Day lunch and New Year’s Eve dinner with bookings filling up very fast.”
