Tui street assault

Between 5.30am and 6.00am on 15 December 2010 a 29 year old male was walking on Maunganui Road near Tui Street when he was attacked from behind by three males. 

As a result of the attack he suffered moderate head injuries and is currently being treated at Tauranga Hospital. 

The only description provided to Police was that the three males were all male Caucasians of unknown age, and that they left in a dark coloured station wagon heading along Maunganui Road towards Bayfair. 

Police are appealing to the public, particularly those residents living around the Tui Street area, for any information that might lead to the identity of those involved in this attack.
