Arrest over Christmas in the Park attack

Christchurch Police advise that a 16-year-old male has been arrested and charged with wounding with intent to injure, in relation to an incident at Christmas in the Park in Hagley Park on 27 November.

The charges relate to a bottle attack on a 15-year-old boy.

The accused will appear in the Christchurch Youth Court tomorrow morning [Friday 17 December].

Inquiries into the assault on a Police officer at the same event are ongoing.
