The has been a crash between a van and a truck on the south bound lane of the Southern Motorway at Mount Wellington.

Emergency services are on the scene and there are two people with moderate to serious injuries.

One lane lane is closed. There is a considerable tail back on the motorway as a result of this and other motorists slowing to have a look.

It will take some time to clear and motorists are asked to avoid the area.
