Trees block roads - Cambridge area and Raglan area, Waikato

At about 06:10 this morning there was a crash on Maungatautari Road near Taane Road, Maungatautari in the Waikato.

The crash involved a car which collided with a fallen tree.

The crash was not serious but combined with the fallen tree it has blocked the entire road and will take some time for the local authorities to clear the road.

This blockage may impact on traffic travelling to Lake Karapiro which is the host venue for the Waka Ama Championships.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and exercise patience and caution in the area surrounding this blockage.

There is also a tree down blocking part of the road on SH23 in the vicinity of Matakotea Road, Raglan. Local authorities are making arrangements to remove this obstruction. Motorists are again advise to exercise caution in this area.
