Fatal crash at Kawerau

Kawerau Police attended a Fatal crash at 6am on Friday 28th of January 2011 on Fenton Mill Road.

An 18 yr male from Kawerau was found deceased near a motorcross bike which had crashed into a tree on the grass verge.

Police inquries are continuing into the cause of the crash which appears to have happened between midnight and 6 am.

This serves as a timely reminder to all motorcycle riders to ride their off road bikes in the appropriate locations and time of the day.

Police will not be releasing the name of the rider until 10 am Saturday in order to give his family time to advise close relatives.
