Porirua Police seek driver, following incident on Haywards Hill this morning
Porirua Police are urging the driver of a dark-coloured 4x4 vehicle to come forward, which was involved in an incident on the Haywards Hill this morning.
Around 7:50am, a 37 year old male cyclist was clipped on the right side of his body, causing him to fall off his bike. He has since been discharged from Wellington Hospital a short time ago, with a fractured arm and two sprained wrists.
Senior Sergeant Steve Sargent says the incident occurred not far from Moonshine Road, on State Highway 58, in the early stages of the uphill passing lanes.
"The driver of the dark-coloured 4x4 may not have realised they'd clipped the cyclist. The driver was travelling towards the Hutt Valley and we'd really like that person to come forward and contact us, to assist Police with our inquiries."
Anyone with any information should phone Porirua Police on (04) 238 1400 or phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
