At about 11.00am this morning Auckland Central Police were called to an incident involving what appeared to be a male pointing a hand gun out of a vehicle window.

The vehicle was sighted travelling from the city onto the North western motroway. A short time later, armed Police, stopped the vehicle near the St lukes off ramp without incident. Police are presently speaking with four persons and are not looking for anyone else in connection with this matter.

Auckland Central Police acting Inspector Ross Endcott'Davies has the lead in this matter.
