Person missing Kaituna River update#3

The body of a 70 year old hunter who went missing on the Kaituna River on Saturday evening has been located.

Coastguard and Maketu Surf Patrol found the body at about 1000hrs this morning approximately 1 kilometre downstream from where the hunter entered the water.

All details relating to the identity of the deceased are withheld at this time until next of kin have been notified.

The mans death has been referred to the Coroner.
