Lower Hutt Police investigating attempted robbery at Angus Inn, Lower Hutt
Lower Hutt Police are currently investigating an attempted robbery of the Angus Inn Hotel at about 12.04am on the 19th February 2011.
Whilst the manager was completing duties in the office, a male has walked into the office and demanded money.
The manager was prevented from leaving the office and at that time she began yelling for help from other staff in the building.
The male then ran away.
Nothing was taken in the incident.
The male is described as Maori with light skin, slight build about 5/8" tall. He had scruffy hair, and a goatee beard. He wore a beanie, dark top and light tan pants and was carrying a sports bag of some description.
CCTV footage is attached to assist with the description.
Detective Sergeant Brent Murray says, "If any person recognises this person, they can contact myself or ring 0800 TIPOFF."
"We are keen to locate him and prevent any further offending."
