Wellington Police investigate stabbing incident in Hataitai yesterday afternoon

Wellington Police are investigating an incident which resulted in a man being stabbed at an address in Hataitai yesterday afternoon.

Senior Sergeant Simon Feltham of the Wellington Police says officers were called to a Moxham Avenue address about 3:40pm.

"As a result of the incident two men have received treatment at Wellington Hospital. One of these men received a number of stab wounds and is in a stable condition in Wellington Hospital.The other man has been treated and discharged."

Senior Sergeant Feltham says Police are speaking to the men involved and a number of their associates.

"At this stage we're not seeking anyone else in connection to this incident however we do urge anyone with any information to phone us as soon as possible or phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
