Armed Robbery Glen Eden

Waitakere CIB is investigating an armed robbery of Ray Galley Jewelers situated at 252 West Coast Road in Glen Eden.

At about 2.05pm on Thursday the 24th of March 2011 a male entered the Jewelry store armed with a shot gun.

The male presented the shot gun at the occupants before securing them in the rear of the premises.

The male then removed jewelry from the premises before taking the walkway leading to Glen mall. From Glen mall the male has calmly walked past the Glen Eden RSA west along Glendale Road.

The male had secured the firearm out of sight in a large black sports bag which he was carrying.

The Waitakere Police are seeking information from the public who may have seen this individual walking along Glendale Road. The male, who may have been disguised, had a distinctive appearance.

The offender was a male Caucasian aged 35-40 years with a bushy ginger-brown beard and moustache. He was wearing a blue or grey business shirt with a striped tie. On his head he wore a black beret and dark sunglasses.
