Glengarry - Invercargill

INVERCARGILL

At 7.50 p.m on 6th April 2011 three males went to an address in Glengarry wearing face masks, carrying weapons and possibly a pistol. They knocked on the door where the male occupant opened the door. He was subsequently seriously assaulted by these males.

The occupants 10 year old son was present through out this ordeal. A dog at the address was also seriously injured by the offenders who left the address in a vehicle prior to Police arriving.

The victim is currently in Southland Hospital with head and facial injuries.The 10 year old child was unharmed physically but very traumatised by what he witnessed.

The vehicle is described as a white Japanese 2 door car,possibly with a spoiler and blue or green pin striping down the back

The Invercargill Armed Offenders squad has been deployed.
