Aggravated Robbery - Gisborne

The Gisborne Police are investigating the aggravated robbery of a 75 year old woman in Lytton road near the Titoki Street end of the Elgin Shopping Centre sometime between 8:00 pm and 9:00 last night

The elderly victim was returning home after having made a number of purchases from the Elgin Dairy when she was approached by two Mäori males aged in their late teens that slapped her to the head and pushed her to the ground.

The victim had a quantity of cash taken out of her bag along with a new packet of Holiday Blue Cigarettes and a packet of panadol.

The Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who has information to contact the police.
