Upper Hutt Police locate escaped prisoner in Wainuiomata

Police have located Joey Falau Vanilau, who escaped from Rimutaka Prison last night.
Upper Hutt Police Area Commander Inspector Mike Hill says 25 year old Vanilau was located about half an hour ago at an address in Wainuiomata.
"He will be appearing in the Upper Hutt District Court later this afternoon, charged with escaping custody."
