Road blocked, SH5 Taupo / Rotorua highway

Trees and powerlines are reported across SH5 some 20 kilometres north of Taupo due to severe weather conditions. SH5 Southern lane is completely blocked and Police are requesting members of the Public take extreme care whilst driving in this area.
