Wiful Damage - Invercargill CBD

INVERCARGILL

Overnight on Friday 6th May 2011 there were a number of Invercargill central city commercial and government building damaged by way of pieces of concrete being thrown through windows breaking them.

Of significance the Invercargill Court house had a number of windows broken and the BNZ bank and H and J Smiths store on Kelvin Street had a window broken in the same manner.

There were also a number of other damage complaints out of the central city area which Police are investigating.

Invercargill Police are asking for assistance from the public with identifying a person, likely a male, shown outside the BNZ on Kelvin Street, Invercargill at approximately 3.15 a.m. on 7th May 2011.

He is wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with 3/4 tan/camouflaged pants.

He can be seen clearly carrying a rock in his hand and has distinctive black shoes with white stripes.
