Yesterday I went to the launch of 3D viewing for the RWC2011. The exeperince of watching rugby on the big screen left me wanting to watch every game in 3D. Games throughout the world cup will be displayed in 3D around New Zealand. If you get the chance to check out the roadshow, it is worth the time.

I am already planning to watch at least one of the quarter or Semi finals in 3D. Check out the interviews with Keith Quinn and Ronel Schodt for more on where the roadshows will be and why the 3D experience is here to stay.

"3D rugby will offer a unique perspective of the matches. Viewers will have greater clarity of where players are positioned on the field, as well as a greater sense of actually being right amongst the action. The view from the stadium or cinema seat will feel almost like you're in the front row of the stands. Combine a true crowd atmosphere with thousands of fans in one of eight indoor arenas, the ability to see immediate replays of crucial action, plus expert commentary and you'll be immersed in the heart of a true Rugby World Cup experience." - Rugby World Cup 2011
