Foggy Icy Roads and Highways

Police in Southland urge motorists travelling in and around the region to take extra care on roads and highways this morning due to foggy and icy conditions. Black Ice is reported largely on State Highway 99.

Police from Riverton, along with the local Fire Service crew, are currently attending a motor vehicle crash on the Riverton-Wallacetown Highway (State Highway 99) near Livingstone Road, where a vehicle is believed to have rolled. The two occupants of the vehicle appear to have escaped injury.
