Bluff water supply back on

Water supply is back on in Bluff township, with the exception of the South Port area, but residents are still being asked to restrict their water use.

Invercargill City Council Water Manager Alister Murray said a burst pipe cut water supply to the township and staff now believed they had isolated the problem in the South Port area.

“Even though supplies are returning to normal, we are asking residents to give the water supply time to recover to its usual levels.

“People can flush toilets and carry out normal household functions but we ask that they are mindful about water use for the next 24 hours,” Mr Murray said.
