Update Stewart Island Marine SAR Operation BLUFF
— The body of a 30-year-old local Invercargill man was recovered last night during a major search and rescue operation underway off the coast of Stewart Island for survivors of a 40ft Bluff-based fishing boat which is believed to have sunk with nine people on board.

— At about 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday the 14th March 2012 the fishing boat 'Easy Rider' sailed from Bluff with three crew and six passengers who were going to be dropped off on the Mutton Bird Islands at the Great South Cape.
