Pedestrian struck by bus dies

An elderly woman who was struck at 11;20am this morning by a bus on Stoddard Road, Mt Roskill, has died this afternoon in Auckland Hospital.

She was 74 years old, but police will not be releasing her name until next of kin have been advised.

The Police Serious Crash Unit is investigating the matter and is requesting that any one who witnessed the crash, but has not yet spoken to police, contact the Auckland Police on 3026400.

UPDATE

The 74 year old woman struck and killed by the bus in Stoddard Road this morning can now be named.

She was Patricia Davis.
