Wellington businesses are set to receive a boost with the opening of BNZ’s new flagship business hub, part of a $200m investment in the bank’s national store and business network.
The Business Centre is based at BNZ Harbour Quays on Waterloo Quay and features market leading services including access to high-tech boardroom and meeting rooms, video conferencing, free wireless internet, phone and video conferencing facilities, free events space, suited to evening functions or day seminars, and a café style coffee machine.
BNZ Partners Wellington Business Centre will work to support Wellington businesses to channel investment to the productive parts of their business while taking advantage of a suite of free facilities.
BNZ Managing Partner – Wellington, Phil Bennett says the Wellington Business Centre will be the central hub of BNZ’s national network, servicing both local businesses and those from across the country who do business in the capital.
“This magnificent new Business Centre is the 22nd in a $40m national roll-out of 31 to be opened by the end of 2011.
“Wellington is more than just the capital city, it’s a big village of businesses well represented by the property, retail and manufacturing sectors. The centre will provide businesses with access to a superior range of free business facilities whether they are SMEs that prefer to invest in the revenue generating parts of their business or a large company that needs a venue for an offsite or conference,” he says.
Following growth in the local market, BNZ has bolstered its Institutional Banking team which will also be based at the Centre, bringing specialist expertise in the management of large corporates to the offering.
Mr Bennett says, “It’s really an ‘office away from the office’ the first day we opened we had clients from Auckland and Dunedin use the centre. We have significant banking experience across our team of 52 and are proud to be offering something more than just the traditional bank relationship.”
