Auckland - Fatal crash on the Southern Motorway

Police and other emergency services are attending a fatal crash on the Southern Motorway in the south bound lane. The crash happened about 8.50 pm.

A 52 year old man died in the crash.

The motorway is closed southbound between Fanshaw Street off ramp and Khyber Pass Rd on-ramp.

Southbound traffic from north will have to exit the motorway at Fanshaw Street and get back on at Khyber Pass Rd on-ramp.

Southbound traffic coming from the Western Motorway will have to go off at Newton Rd, turn left and follow Newton Road accross Symonds Street into Khyber Pass Rd and get back on the motorway at Khyber Pass Rd on-ramp.
