Why the Dog Headed Home?

It is no surprise to Simon Goodall of Dog Guru Ltd that the dog of the lady who was killed by rocks http://www.infonews.co.nz/news.cfm?id=70149 headed home to tell the owners there was some danger. Simon says "dogs are so misunderstood that we never know just what they will do". 

The dogs owner was killed by rocks in tragic circumstances and then one of the dogs ran home. This is an amazing story of how a dog in a very stressful situation knew to run home and round up the others in the house. 

Simon says that this dog must have been so tuned into the owner to realise this was the best option and deserves a medal as if the others had no idea it had happened the dog most likely would have showed them the way.
